We had cookout camp during the Dec holidays last year. On the first day, we searched for some recipes on the internet and wrote down the ingredients on our booklets. On the second day, we went for a hike. On the third day,we went to giant to buy our ingredients. After that, we went to Labrador park to cook. Each pack was assigned a recipe. My group was assigned to cook the pasta but the group had to be splat into 2 smaller groups as the group was too big. When we were there, GL told us to put our bags at the sheltered area and sit on the ground. He told us how to use the knife. He wanted us to use a metal spoon to hold the food in place instead of using our fingers as he was afraid that we would accidentally cut ourselves.
We went to the restroom to wash our hands. Next, we went to the barbecue pits that we were assigned and started to cook. We then went to the restroom again to wash the ingredients and the equipment. After cutting and preparing the food, the instructors started the fire and we put the pot of spaghetti on top of the fire. While the spaghetti was cooking, GL took a piece of spaghetti from the extra packet and showed us the spaghetti on fire. After cooking, as it was raining, we went to a sheltered area where it was near the entrance. When everyone reached there, we took out the plates and utensils that we brought. We queued up to get the food and after that back to our places to eat. The food was very nice and yummy.
